33 Peace Girls are now Peace Sisters!!

We are humbled by the role Peace Sisters played in helping 33 Peace Girls graduate from College, Trade School, or Apprenticeship programs. Peace Sisters funded tuition as well as room and board for these students, as well as mentorship and career counseling.

As these girls get their footing in their careers, they will remain integral to Peace Sisters as members of our sisterhood network of girls and women in Togo and beyond.

All of you individual donors make these opportunities possible. Congratulations to our graduates and thank you to you, our supporters!

Mentoring & Academic Counseling...

Alumni of our program mentor younger girls to make smart choices in selecting their academic and career paths, and they can also help make invaluable connections to secure internships and employment.

For three years running, we have welcomed Professors from the University of Kara to hold meetings with the high school girls in our program. This past August, we held both group and individual sessions to advise students on topics like how to pick a major, managing finances and housing, how to support each other through university, and otherwise adapt to campus life away from the comforts of home.

For many of the students in our program, university is their first time away from their families, and this mentoring has proven invaluable for their emotional well-being and academic success.

We wish all the best to the 24 students who are newly embarking on their higher education journey this year!
